3、朝天门广场朝天门广场是新重庆的一大标志性建筑。各位刚才上船经过广场时已经看到，首先映入我们眼帘的是“重庆朝天门广场”七个闪闪发亮的鎏金大字。朝天门广场工程总投资3亿元，占地面积8万平方米，由观景广场、护岸梯道、交通广场和周边环境配套四大部分组成。观景广场是朝天门广场核心部分，面积1.7万平方米，以壮观、亮丽、伟岸立意，取两江环抱、自然地形之势。广场地面典雅大方，植物四季常青，灯饰喷泉动如流云，艺术小品形态各异，并建置有残疾人通道和旅游停车场；整个广场造型如一艘已经启航的巨轮，蕴含着具有3000年悠久历史文化、孕育巨大生机活力的新重庆，满载3100万各族人民的希望，驶向更加美好的未来。护岸梯道是朝天门观景广场的基础部分，呈圆弧形状，濒临长江、嘉陵江，宽48米，外弧长度400米，高18米，由4万块梯道板砌筑而成。整个梯道如江边长城，既护卫着朝天门广场，又为广场平添了一道壮丽的风景线，是目前国内最壮观和最大规模的江岸大梯道。还要告诉大家的是，朝天门广场出现的一个新的亮点。那就是一个35000平方米的重庆规划陈列馆落。馆内除了将陈列重庆的远景规划外，还有大量的诸如重庆特有的吊角楼之类的民俗名居展示，给你一个过去、现在和将来的完整的巴渝概念。
